Designing Eurovision Costumes

A Eurovision performance is a significant and visually demanding moment for any artist—especially when the music is accompanied by a profound artistic message.

From the early stages of preparing Raiven’s Eurovision 2024 performance with the song Veronika, it was clear that the costume would play a key role in the show. The entire costume design, created specifically for the singer and dancers, was developed under the ÆMONA brand. Raiven invited us to collaborate with a desire for a bold outfit that would visually support the song’s dramaturgy, reflect her personal aesthetic, and simultaneously work harmoniously with the stage requirements—lighting, movement, and camera.

The shimmering silver jumpsuit creates the effect of body painting and a wet look, while organic, reflective details add drama on stage and subtly allude to river plants—a reference connected to the song’s symbolism.

The design and production process lasted over a month. We began with digital prototyping, followed by creating test models and meticulous handcrafting of details. Each phase was closely coordinated with the technical performance team, as the costume was conceived as an integral part of the overall visual composition. Raiven advanced to the grand final with her performance, reaffirming her distinctive artistic identity. Elle Serbia, Elle Croatia and Vanity Fair Italia listed the costume among the best of Eurovision 2024, highlighting its aesthetic and symbolic significance.

We are proud to have contributed to a performance that, through its thoughtful visual expression, complemented a powerful artistic vision on one of Europe’s most prominent stages.
