About the Brand
Founded in Ljubljana in 2021, ÆMONA was born out of a desire to merge traditional craftsmanship with contemporary innovations in fashion design. Initially conceived as a bridge between these two worlds, the brand today focuses on collections that reflect creative expression, brand identity, and modern design through innovative design techniques.
The brand’s name carries multilayered symbolism, drawing inspiration from the butterfly, a symbol of transformation, and from the ancient Roman settlement that forms the historical foundation of the city from which we create today.
The philosophy embraces the idea that clothing shapes more than just external appearance; it possesses the power to transform one’s perception of the world and one’s relationship with oneself. External transformation, expressed through clothing, influences internal experience. This ongoing dialogue allows transformation to flow both ways, making garments a tool for expressing identity. The collections are conceptually designed and often draw inspiration from dual meanings, metaphorical expressions, and emotional states.
Each piece is thoughtfully crafted using carefully selected materials. All prints are created in-house, reflecting the story and inspiration behind each collection.
ÆMONA garments regularly feature in music stages, special events, and fashion shows. The collections have been showcased on runways in Ljubljana, Budapest, and Milan, confirming a growing presence on the European fashion scene and a commitment to thoughtful, contemporary design.
